Buyer Terms
A summary of the terms that apply when you buy a ticket on Tixi. This is a condensed version — the complete Terms and Conditions (which also cover general account and platform terms) are available from Tixi's Trust & Safety team on request.
Payments
Tixi does not currently process card payments. No payment provider is connected, so no money moves through the platform and no order on this deployment represents a real transaction. A 7% service fee and a 3% transaction fee are added to the seller's asking price and shown before you pay.
Ticket delivery, by type
Every listing shows one of three delivery types with different handling: a physical handoff with a one-time code you share only after checking the ticket; a PDF held by Tixi that unlocks once payment is authorized; or a QR code the seller forwards to Tixi by email or WhatsApp, matched to your order automatically. Review the processing note on the listing before you buy.
Physical meetup window
For physical tickets, the seller must complete the handoff within 12 hours of purchase, or by 2 hours before the event starts if that's sooner. Both sides can agree to extend that window by 8 hours at a time, up to the same 2-hour-before-the-event cap. If the window passes with no handoff, you can request a cancellation and refund, reviewed by Trust & Safety.
Disputes and refunds
While your order is held or pending release, you can open a dispute — non-receipt, an invalid ticket, wrong seat, or an unresponsive seller. Trust & Safety reviews the evidence and resolves in your favor, the seller's favor, or a split outcome; refunds return to your original payment method.
Personal data on the ticket you buy
A ticket may still carry the original buyer's details — their name, and sometimes an email address, phone number, date of birth or gender. You agree to use those details only to get into the event, and not to contact, publish, share or keep them for anything else.
You also accept that a name printed on a ticket may not be yours, and that some venues check ID against it. Where Tixi knows an issuer does this, we tell you before you pay.
What Tixi doesn't guarantee
Tixi verifies the transaction and ticket-transfer mechanism, not an organizer's or venue's own admission policies, ID-matching rules, or decision to cancel or reschedule an event.
